The Journey Behind the Champion
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Jaye Byard’s early life was marked by challenges he was able to persevere through. His life experiences and education have cultivated into pursuing his passion for boxing and purpose for helping others.
Byard turned pro in 2019, defying age norms. After a rocky 0-4 start, he unleashed an 8-fight KO rampage, crushing contenders like Tom Vautour (6-3-0) and Abokan Bokpe (9-4-0). His 2024 TKO of Benjamin Alvarez (4-0-0) clinched the CPBC Canadian Heavyweight Title, and UBO continental heavyweight title.
His style—is to have no style. Trainers call him “a storm in gloves,” relentlessly breaking opponents’ records. He’s the only champion in history to coach himself through 8 straight KO wins.
